Art therapy Group work

Art therapy group work provides a safe, confidential space where children and young people who are facing similar issues or have been through similar experiences, come together to explore and process these experiences whilst also supporting each other.

Making art and sharing/ reflecting upon what is created is a central aspect of the group.

Examples of art therapy groups:

  • young people experiencing anxiety/friendship issues at school

  • young people who struggle to understand their feelings

  • children with learning difficulties

  • loss and bereavement group

  • refugee group

  • family breakdown group
