About the art therapist

Samantha is a HCPC registered Art Psychotherapist and has worked in a range of settings over the last fifteen years including schools, with charities and privately in her own practice.

Samantha provides individual art therapy for children, young people and adults with varying mental health, emotional, social and wellbeing needs. She believes that every individual is unique and provides an art therapy service which reflects this, working from a person centred, psychodynamic approach.

Samantha is passionate about art psychotherapy and fully believes in the transformative effect it can have. Samantha is experienced in working with a range of mental health and emotional well-being needs and specialises in working with attachment issues, trauma, early years trauma and abuse, anxiety and relationship difficulties.

Samantha offers an initial consultation free of charge, where your needs and requirements can be discussed.

You don't need to have any previous experience or skill in art making - art therapy focuses on reflecting together about the process and experience of creating/making art, helping to express and understand feelings that could otherwise be difficult to verbalise.

Samantha is registered with the HCPC and the BAAT and adheres to their professional codes of conduct. You can check Samantha’s registration details here: www.hcpc-uk.org/check-the-register/
